The Acu-Rite Home Comfort Monitor features indoor temperature and humidity sensor. The humidity sensor expresses relative humidity. The home comfort monitor records the indoor temperatures and humidity using its daily high/low memory. The at-a-glance comfort icon shows low, high or OK humidity level to know at a glance the humidity reading in your home. On the back of the unit, an integrated magnet allows the monitor to be placed on a refrigerator door any other magnetic surface to allow for quick setup. Records temperature in either Celsius or Fahrenheit has a temperature range from 32-Degree Fahrenheit to 122-Degree Fahrenheit (0-Degree Celsius to 50-Degree Celsius) and a Humidity range from 20-95-percent RH. Requires one AA battery (not included).

I purchased this to monitor the temperature and humidity in the basement, and it seems accurate. The readout is clear and easy to read. The only drawback is that you can't mount it to a wall as it's slightly curved on the back, which isn't apparent from the photograph.

This humidity meter measured the temperature accurately, but I think that the one that I received must have been defective. No matter what environment the device was placed in, the humidity rating never shifted from 16%.

Since it's nearing around winter time I bought this locally so I'd have a way to monitor the humidity of my computer room.

There isn't much to it in that it simply displays the current humidity, current temperature, whether or not the humidity level is OK an the recorded high and low temperatures. The casing is nice and has a magnet on the battery cover.

As for the high and low memory...It's not stated in the manual so I browsed Acurite's forums (which I'd give a huge plus in that each product has its own little forum) for an answer. Apparently it resets every day at the time when the battery is installed. Can't complain although then again mine is set to roughly 2PM.

This monitor works very well. When calibrated against a more expensive unit, it compared within one degree. I have been using it to measure the humidity in my crawl space. The magnet on the back proved to be very handy in mounting it to a heating duct. The large numbers make it possible to read easily without needing to venture into the crawl space.

I've been using this product in a humidor for about a month now. To test for accuracy, I put this alongside two other monitors. All three products read exactly the same humidity for 90% of the time. When they weren't exactly the same, they were within 1% of each other. I did notice slight variance between the three monitors on the temperature reading, but that was with 1-2 degrees at the most. Happy with this product!

I work at home most of the time and it is important for me to work in a good environment, not only for me but for my computers. This monitor gives you temperature and humidity. It has a nice big display and takes AA batteries. The magnate on the back comes in handy if you want to put it on your fridge and it also sits nicely on a desk. I did find this for a better price at Walmart after I already made the purchase but I have no complaints with the seller and received the product on good time and quality.

Does everything it should do. Apparently, the designers felt humidity more important than temperature. Humidity is very visible in bold letters at top and can be read across the room. Temperature, not so much.

I bought two of these. I wanted to monitor the temperature and humidity in two separate rooms in my house. They work very nice and look nice too. Now I keep one in the main living space and one in the garage. My girl friend sits for kittens and we wanted to be sure it was not getting too hot out there during the day. The high and low reading came in handy for that. The only thing that would make it a better product would be if it had a calendar built in so you knew what day was the hottest. As it is, you have to reset it if you want to find the high or low for a particular day.

This is a very nice item, Still checking to see how accurate it is at the moment. Found them at Wal-Mart for $7.96

The thermometer consistently overstates the temperature 5-10 degrees. It also reacts to changes in temperature way too slowly. It's just worthless junk.
